How to use a tampon properly and safely

Through various talks and exchange with girls and women, we have realised that tampons are something that many dread. Especially for young girls, it can seem frightful. It doesn't have to be like that though…we've created a simple step-by-step to support you in the process.

The applicator makes inserting a tampon easier

The applicator helps guide and place the tampon correctly. Before inserting Mondays' tampons, you must wash your hands! Get a few tampons out - it's quite normal to have a few goes and it's not necessary to have success the first time. Give yourself time in an environment with no stress or pressure.

Then 'unlock' the applicator by twisting the applicators in opposite directions. Do this and then push the inner applicator to release the tampon just to see what happens and acquaint yourself with the mechanism and tampon before you try to insert it.

Have a look at the step-by-step process below, and everything will make sense ;)

Make sure you read our guide to safe use of tampons and know the symptoms of Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) just follow this ->link<-

Tampons are great for sports and swimming and Mondays' tampons are made of 100% organic cotton and contain zero plastic, zero chemicals, no bleach, dyes, nor pesticides. However, you must still be aware of and follow the precautions and safety guide for tampons (click on link above).

At Mondays, we have two absorbencies (described with drops), regular or super, look at our guide for help on which absorbency you should choose (a lower absorbency is always recommended). Only use the products when you are menstruating and don't forget to read the safety instructions here on line or on the provided leaflet.

So to recap the essentials !
