In the heart of Munich, Platzl Hotel combines traditional hospitality with a modern sense of responsibility. As a family-run business with strong regional roots, they stand for genuine connections, quality and fairness in how they treat their guests, their team and the environment.
Sustainability is not a passing trend but a long-term commitment. Inspired by the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals, they consistently integrate environmental responsibility, social fairness and regional partnerships into their day-to-day hotel operations. From short supply chains and regional products to resource-efficient operations and a healthy, supportive working environment, sustainability is something they put into practice every day.
A central part of this commitment is providing a safe working environment where every member of the Platzl team feels valued. Periods remain taboo or a source of embarrassment in many areas of life and work. Together with Organic Mondays, they have found a sustainable, reliable way to make period products readily available, free of charge to the team.
In doing so, Platzl Hotel created a workplace where menstruation carries no stigma and is treated as what it is: a natural part of life.
"For us, this is sustainability in action — socially responsible, fair and respectful towards our employees, today and in the future."
